New Family portraits of the Jamisons

Wow, it has been a while since I have had some time to post here. I have been working on the studio and getting ready for the new baby. Michelle says she will be here before her due date so I am waiting with the car running!!
I had a great shoot today with the Jamisons. Bill and Nancy entrusted me to capture some moments with them and their two boys. The littlest one got so comfortable with me I got a hug. Now Rex was almost always ready for the camera and always knew where I was. I guess that big white lens was pretty hard to miss.
Well enough talk, on with the photos. Till next time, Chris.

Courtney

I had the pleasure of working with Courtney as well. She is the daughter of a friend of mine. We went down to the Old Town Hiram and got some really nice shots. I was still working in my garage studio but I was still able to capture a few moments there as well. Courtney moved to a college out of state, but I did happen to see her at her fathers wedding. Of course I need to post a photo from it as well.

Dani

I know it seems just like yesterday that I worked with Dani. she is in college now and doing great. We went out to a few different locations and just made a day of it. Here are a few from the day.

Senior shoots from the past

Yes, it is finally summer. In Atlanta summer means hot and these last few weeks have been scorchers. Summers also mean pools, vacations, and the dreaded Senior portrait session. Well, if you use that place the school almost demands you use. I try to make sure we have a blast when shooting seniors. Your senior year should be your best year, almost out but still able to kick back and have fun. Maybe a little part-time gig to save some cash for college or just having fun. This summer will pass before you know it.
I know it feels like forever since I was a senior. So many things have changed in this short 23 years. I have been so busy this year I haven't put much time into shooting seniors this summer. Now the schedule is opening up and time to get back to shooting seniors. These shoots are always fun and at times crazy. No two sessions are the same.
Some of these seniors have moved on the bigger and better things and it is time for me to move on as well. Enjoy the next few post.

Welcome to my Blog

This being the first post I should first say thanks for stopping by. I am finally realizing my dream of having my own studio. I have been shooting for many years but I was always under the constraints of having to find a location. I now have a wonderful location that is always at my disposal. I am still working out the bugs of the new studio but it will be up and running in no time.

I should start off with a little about myself. I have been shooting professionally for about 8 years. My work covers wedding, portrait, sports and family photography. I really try to stay away from the boring old style and bring to the table a clean current style of photography. Something that reflects who we are as individuals and as families. I live in the Atlanta area but have taken assignments from Australia to the beautiful island of Grand Cayman, and everywhere in between.

I will take time to introduce my partner in this business, my wife Michelle. She has always been a key factor in making sure my work has always looked it's best. Having her input on styling, posing and also her work in post-production. Michelle offers a second set of eyes to make sure I don't miss my mark. She has become a very good photographer in her own right, working diligently to always learn and shoot as often as possible. I seriously think she will run this studio one day.

Please sit back and enjoy some of my post. I will be posting some older work along with new work to try to keep this blog current and refreshing.
